Wordpress Themes for a Content Site

I have a small-ish content site that I'm revamping this week and I can't find any *great* Wordpress themes that will look great with a content site. I'm looking for something with the following criteria:

    • Simple, clean design
    • Built-in Adsense slots
    • Focus on content + ads (not a lot of graphics)
    • I'm not much of a developer, so it shouldn't need any manual editing

Do you guys have any ideas?

Hey Tamir, that's a good question. I like to keep a folder of bookmarks for just this purpose. Every time you run across a nice theme, link it up. You might want to try that. Specifically, here are two themes you might like to try...

SimpleMarket looks great for your needs

    Constellation also looks pretty nice

Codium Extended could even work well.

I like them all and each of these are free. Try out the demos and let us know which one you ultimately choose

Ooh, I really like the constellation one, thanks for the links. I think I'll install that one and SimpleMarket and see which looks better on my site.

    I really like blogolife2.0

You can add your own header image and back ground image for that really custom look. but beware the header image needs to be exactly 960x200. If you upload a different size it needs to be cropped within word press.

    Google: "free premium wordpress themes"

Look for the sites that have lists of 20-50 different sites and just scroll through it extremely fast until one theme catches your eye. Or you could buy a premium Wordpress subscription (I used ElegantThemes and WooThemes).

Depending on your definition of what is beautiful.. But I think, simlemarket already hit the spot. You can still try others for experimentation.
