Best way to success in affiliate marketing?

I really want to get into affiliate marketing as soon as i am done with my niche site.(By the way ZZZProfits thanks for putting out such a great training course for free!) I was wondering if there are any good member experience tips on how to start out for a beginner? Seems like there are so many variables

• Whether or not to use a network like Commission Junction?
• How to know if a product will sell?
• Best way to promote a product? Blogs, Videos, Banners, landing pages, text links, twitter, facebook etc.

I just want to know that im pointing in the right direction and not waisting time on things that dont work.

I believe there are some good advantages to using a networks like Commission Junction & Clickbank. For one you can track and manage multiple companies products in one admin area. It sucks logging in to 20 accounts for 20 products. Another advantage is a company like CJ gets bulk commison bonuses for affiliate products and passes some of these on to us.

A good way to know which affiliate products sell and convert the best is to check the the top ten websites in your niche and see what they are promoting.

As far as methods go, i have found promoting related affiliate text links within content posts to work much better then banners & widgets.

I thinks nothing is easy in affiliate marketing If you find a product or niche that you enjoy promoting it makes it easier, but it still takes lots of work.

So we should just stick to the product or niche that we like? But what if that product has few followers? Will it still be okey?

Is being the product owner better in the long run..? Yes you can work the affiliate route, and you don't need a product to make money.However, if you had a sales force of affiliates, mathematically speaking, is that going to generate more income overall? I'm not knocking the affiliate method at all...I wonder about the concept though....which outweighs which in the long run? Ideally a combination of both might be best with affiliate marketing being the stepping stone?

I think being a product owner is always potentially the best, however not everyone wants to take the time and effort to develop a product. I have developed a couple products and it was a lot more work then I thought it would be.

I think that offering affiliate commisions works great if its for any digital product because there is zero overhead. If its a physical product you have to be a little more careful. Most physical products pay %10-%20 and most digital products pay %30-%75. %75 is very enticing for an affiliate promoter.

A good way to know which online products and programs offer and turn the best is to check the the top ten sites in your market and see what they are advertising.
As far as techniques go, i have found advertising relevant online backlinks within material content to work much better then banner ads & icons.

This is going to sound a bit cliche. But, the best way for success is to get off your butt and make it happen. It took me over a year of lolligagging with nonprofitable stuff until I finally dove in head first, and made a mission to actually make a steady income with it.
